Hey there,
Whew, has it been a crazy month.
After a kidney stone effectively keeping me from doing anything, pain pills keeping me from thinking clearly and medical bills keeping me from buying a new lens I finally feel like I'm getting (sort of) back on track.
I just started my garden and things are starting to bloom around here so expect a flurry of photos in my gallery throughout April and May! I may even get a few event opportunities this year, so advice on that would be awesome, as I am AWFUL at live shots of people. Nature, animals, still life in general, I'm fine at. People, can't do it.

ALSO: I am looking into getting a macro lens. Once my medical bills are paid and I have the money. I think it'll do wonders for my style. However I have no idea what I'm doing. Currently shooting with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, what's the best macro lens for this type of camera?

Hey there, friends,
As some of you know here in the northern hemisphere the comet PanSTARRS will be showing up on the horizon fairly soon. I've never seen a comet before and am therefore VERY excited to see this.
Obviously I want to photograph it too.
I've never been too good at nighttime photography. Even dusk.
Any tips on how to shoot this thing? Camera settings, etc?

Sorry peeps, I've been in a little bit of a daze over the last couple of months. I've gone back to school and I'm working full time so when I have time for anything photography related I kind of just upload and walk away anymore.
Not only that I'm just now getting over the flu that everyone else on the continent has. Sucks. Trust me. But now that I actually have time to sit down and can focus enough to type this out, I just want to say...
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for all of the favorites guys, and THANKS EVEN MORE for the new watches! Even though this is belated for a lot of you, I really, genuinely, appreciate that you're interested in seeing more of my work. As an amateur that's only had a decent camera for about 6 months I feel like I'm making good progress. That said, there's more to it than saying "I can camera good." It's taken a lot of work, and it's fortunate that I've actually found time this fall and winter to learn and play with the art between everything else that's going on.

Anyway... I'm still here, I still have a computer and a pulse, and I'm looking forward to being a little more active on dA.

I've only had this account for a few days and already it feels great to have a single place to showcase what happens when I get bored and there's a camera nearby. I even have a few watchers and people that actually like my work!
I feel like I've been really warmly welcomed by the community and I appreciate that.
